IQE
Challenge
IQE was mid-way through a 2-year transformation programme and needed to transition from outsourcing to in-house to regain control of project outcomes. While IQE had a talented leadership team, it lacked the scale required to immediately support the breadth of software change required.
It needed to:
- bring in talent specialising in technologies including C#, ASP.NET, Blazor, and GraphQL
- rapidly assemble a team of 7 engineers across these specialisations, adhering to its country trade restrictions
- recruit change management specialists to embed the software delivery across the organisation
Launch Lab's solution
Assessment development
Launch Lab’s in-house VP-Engineering and CTOs crafted client-approved screening and assessment criteria.
Talent pipeline assessment
Launch Lab assessed hundreds of members of it’s talent network, appraising CVs and carrying out GitHub reviews, conducting technical screenings and carrying out live pair programming coding challenges.
Talent shortlisting and onboarding
IQE were presented with assessed candidates and ran final interviews with a 95% success rate against the shortlisted candidates.
Requirements scaling
Change Managers were similarly assessed and onboarded to manage the successful deployment of the change across the business, with the overall team flexing throughout as requirements evolved.
